Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed everyone’s life since the first months of 2020. Students’ reflective diaries inform the readers about major changes in their lives. Many of them had to move back home what had a significant impact on the family structure: the reincorporation of young adults deeply transformed the family dynamics. Some of the students lost their jobs and some of the parents could not continue to work either. Students were not able to visit their other family members or meet their friends. Their daily routines also changed due to the introduction of online education. Most students could successfully cope with the difficulties of the newly emerging situation: some of them had to deal with the quarantine abroad, others volunteered here in Hungary, and most of the students spent their days at home. In conclusion, the pandemic and the quarantine situation had a major effect on the lives of the students who give a detailed summary on their lived experiences in their weekly reflections.
