Abstract

The aim of this article is to determine how eco-labelling, as a communication tool, is able to implement corporate and environmental policy goals on the micro level using environmental management tools as well as to analyze the extent to which the theoretical and practical advantages of eco-labelling emerge in the Hungarian system. The methodological background supporting the research for this article consists of literature review for the descriptive analysis and primary data for the evaluation of the Hungarian system in practice (results from the indepth interview research conducted among businesses authorized to use eco-labels). The results from both the theoretical and practical research - the 3win model of eco-labelling and the conclusions from the practical research - are new scientific results.
