Globalization of higher education. Distance learning today and in the future

Abstract

Importance of international programmes is increasing in higher education as a consequence of globalization. Significance of distance learning is sharply growing since this is a way students can study easier and relatively cheaper at foreign universities than at home as a regular student. Distance learning makes an influence on methods of the learning process. Students and instructors must accept challenges of the new learning environment. In this article an example of an international distance learning co-operation between Hagen and Pécs is explained.
